I have a new neighbor a young (20) lady in the US Coast Guard. We were talking yesterday and she mentioned not only did she not have any children, she was still a virgin and was catching flack from some of her contemporaries. It seems the Big Thing for young women today is to have a baby. Im just a kid myself! Why should I want to have a kid?
I could do nothing but agree and give her a bit of praise.
Praise for what? Succumbing to the infantalization of society perpetrated by the welfare-statists, where a fully-grown 20-year-old adult considers herself a "kid?"
What happens when she's finally 35 and looking to settle down, and suddenly discovers that she's not as fertile as she once was and has to spend the next five years having her eggs harvested and slaughtering dozens of microscopic babies on the altar of in-vitro fertilization?
My wife and I married when I was 22, and we made the mistake of waiting years before starting to think about trying to have kids - various age-exacerbated reproductive health issues, and we've gone the last 9-10 years without using any birth control at all.
We're adopting a little boy from Russia instead.
