Really? I think they should have gone deep to Smardzdjia ALOT more. They did it on the first play of the game then started running the ball. Big mistake.
OSU adjusted after the first series and Samardija or whomever was running deep was running into double coverage all night long.
Since ND couldn't run the ball effectively, they couldn't get OSU to bring in a 3rd LB and OSU played the entire game in the Nickel....
