I'll not honor him any more than honoring the person who sent the Abu Grahib photos to the media.
You are a fool then. Thompson stopped the massacre and then reported it to his superiors in the chain of command. He didnt tell his story to the media, the story of My Lai leaked out long after his couragous action. Since when do you equate preventing the killing of women and children with idiot bored Guardsmen humiliating prisoners and sharing pictures with others. You are some piece of work. You related to Lt. Calley?

Im with you. He saved some villagers but hurt this country and aided the Hanoi Ho Fondas on the left.

This was a very different situation. The prisoners in Abu Grahib were not innocent and they were not being killed. Calley and his men killed hundreds of people in a brutal assualt on a village that didn't contain insurgents and where there were no reports of us being fired upon. Some of those killed were infants, others women and old men. It was one of the most despicable things ever carried out by an American. Thompson stood up to this vile excuse for an American and stopped him from killing even more civilians. Thompson is an American hero and should be treated as such. Its a shame that nobody under Calley's command stood up to him.
You are picking the wrong side on this one. Calley should have been hung by the neck until dead.
