I'm more curious why the Republican Party seems content to keep the race competitive for Democrats.
Democrats by rights should be buried. they keep letting them back in the game. It's only a question of which will screw up last before the elections. It'll probably be the Dems, just because their mistakes involve treason and obstruction which usually trumps lack of a spine.
But I agree it's curious that the Party would allow itself to be held hostage to the Hard Left, except it makes sense when you consider they propose appeasement and carrots against our enemies. They are merely following what they preach with their own base, except that base keeps getting more invasive and uncontrollable and soon will entirely control it all and toss off the old leadership. As usually happens. And they are allowing it to occur. Do they see it coming? Too sacred to prevent it? Who knows.

I would suggest that you take a careful look at what the Republicans have been up to. At least the Democraps manage to stay in control even if the voters don't put them there. They are doing exactly what the moonbat base of their party wants while the Republicans are busy eating their own and splitting the base. Guess whose base is likely to crawl over broken glass next November? Clue: not the conservatives.
