IT and telco? Richardson is a ghost town compared to what it was 5 years ago. and the semiconductor industry is going offshore slowly but surely too.
Most of the Japanese and European expats have gone home, but the Metroplex has one of the best economies in the country, which is why we were able to generate 100,000 new jobs during the recession to offset the 100,000 that were lost, and why Richardson real estate didn't bottom out.
IT is more than fab labs and semiconductors that will soon be cheaper than dirt. Telcom is the one area that the economy hasn't recovered, and I wasn't the one who brought that up.
