I cannot believe how inarticulate these Senators are.

Kennedy couldn't form a sentence.

Grassley is almost as bad.

Someone posted yesterday that they noticed that, when one becomes a Senator, he/she begins talking with multiple 'uhs' and 'ums'.

You should see Ted Stevens.

That guy should go back to high school and take a refresher course in forensics.

I can't believe he was chosen to deliver opening remarks at President Reagan's funeral.

"Uhm, Uhm, Ah" should the Senate's new offical motto. Put it on the seal and everything.

Compared to these clowns President Bush is Cicero.

It's "filler speech", and it is annoying. Laura Ingraham irritates me tremendously when she does it, which is too bad because she is otherwise excellent, and passionate for what she believes.

In all fairness, I think that - at least with me - the mind moves faster than the mouth, and especially in an arena where the spoken word is crucial, the tendency is to want to "fill" the air with some sound, rather than none, hence the "uh" or the "ah".
