The highlight was an exchange between Spectre and Kennedy. Kennedy evidently sent a request in the form of a letter (though he said e-mail) for a subpoena for CAP papers at the Library of Congress.

They got into a pissing match over whether or not Spectre recieved the papers, and Spectre smacked Kennedy around a bit telling him that he will not allow him to "take over" the proceedings.

It was sweet!

Feinstein blathered on about Roe again.

Kennedy didn't need to issue a subpeona... All he had to do was have his staffers IDENTIFY themselves...

It was all a set up.

I knew he would try to trap him on Feingold. Alito should bring up the tribes.

Given Kenatee's propensity to make things up out of whole cloth, therre is doubt as to whether he sent Specter anything at all.

I wondered at the time, and I still do: Why would Kennedy say that he wanted to subpeona the Library of Congress for documents? Why a subpoena? It's the Library of... who? again?

It's their own library... can't they just send somebody over to look for whatever they want? Yeesh...
