Lindsey apologized to the Alito family for the remarks made throughout the hearings.
Just as it always is a person can stand their ground and stay strong when being attacked, but when someone offers words of comfort and thoughtfulness, it can get a person misty eyed.

Lindsey Graham apologized for the garbage going on in these hearings. He got emotional and so did she. She had to get up and leave for a short while.

WTH happened? Mrs. Alito was in tears?
Schumer and Kennedy insinuated that Judge Alito was a bigot & racist and wanted daughters who had been raped by their fathers to have the baby anyway, etc....then Lindsey Graham apologized for their appalling behavior and Mrs. Alito starting crying, got up and left the hearings.
