Oh I have alot of respect for many of the things Pat has done, helping relocate Jews included. But, his recent comments about Sharon and his prior hitman comments really makes him look very, very out of line.

It's one thing to think it....it's another to actually say it.

Oh, yeah--he should have retired years ago. But he is also saying things that many very far-rightward Israeli Jews are saying. A lot of Russian emigres had to leave Gaza. I guess that's why he has to be slapped publicly.

It's also bad theology on Pat's part. He ought to reread Jeremiah--there was a time to unite, and a time to divide. I thought Sharon had no choice but to cede Gaza because it was utterly undefensible. Gather in the Israelis, and build that wall high and strong. Afterwards, it was instructive to see the consternation of the Egyptians who suddenly had their beloved Palestinians at very close quarters, and were stuck with keeping them out of Egypt! It was almost comical.
