Judge Samuel A. Alito’s wife Martha left the confirmation hearing room in tears this evening, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) apologized to the Judge’s family for the behavior of his fellow committee members during the course of the last three days.
Sen. Graham said: “Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.”
Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.
One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: “After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.”

One thing Biden is for sure: Not as smart as he thinks he is.
That is an unacceptable slander of Joe McCarthy. First off, McCarthy was right. Hollywood and the highest levels of the federal government were for a fact infested with communist spies. He did a heroes work in rooting them out.
I would accept a comparison to him as high praise.

Me too!!! I can't listen to the bloviating. I tried to imagine: 1. having to sit there and be the nominee or the family and act civil and interested to all these yahoos or 2. being one of the senators and maintaining civility to get any work done with these yahoos. I believe I would get a tummy full in short order and since I couldn't tell them what I think, I would pull my hair out.

Why is that clown reelected in MASS? Really, I would like to know. Even the most liberal of the lot should be ashamed of this drunk felon representing them, at least get a liberal leader who can connect two words and have a complete thought. I mean, I'm really puzzled. Is MASS STILL controlled so much by the Kennedys? What an iron grip. Anyone there think about standing up to these tyrants?

This was just reported on my local talk station 6 PM news break. Not sure if it was network or locally produced, but the b******s only said Alito's wife left the hearings. The conveniently left out the words "in tears".
Now they have torn into someone with more character than any of them will ever have and make his wife so upset she leaves in tears.
Will these humans (they don't deserve to be called anything else, and even calling them human is more than they deserve) ever apologize to this honorable man and his wife? Probably not. And the saddest part of the whole thing, people in this country will turn a blind eye and forget it ever happened.
These guys are making it a SLAM DUNK....NO SENATOR will be ELECTED President.....NONE.....
Maybe in the future, the next nominee will refuse to sit for hearings. I mean everybody's mind is already made up. Judge Alito has 15 years of opinions. Why does he have to sit there and put up with these spoiled brat grown up rich boys trying to make him look like a jerk?
