All I'm saying is that a Saint who becomes an unrepentant murderer is still an unrepentant murderer, and their past good deeds won't offset any of their offenses today.
Not only this, but the damage done by recent wrong doings have very real repercussions. I just don't see how the past actions of any war hero accounts for much when they are traitors today.
The real irony is that Murtha expects a reverence which he himself refuses to give to those who serve today!
