Yes, indeed, and it's interesting that the two (bad language and destructive thoughts) go together. I remember a 6th grade teacher who had a sign on the wall: "Cursing is a sign of a weak mind trying to express itself forcibly." Like you, I stop myself before using a curse word and ask myself whether I really know what I'm talking about. Sometimes I find that an impulse to curse is a sign that I need to put on my thinking cap!
