Internet trash talk results in lawsuit; Medina man sues over chatroom posts

Medina- George Gillespie knows Bob Charpentier and Mike Marlowe only from an America Online chatroom, where they have traded insults electronically for five years.

But face-to-face meetings in Medina County Common Pleas Court may be in their futures.

Gillespie, of Medina, sued the two men - one from Oregon and the other from Alabama - saying that they insulted and harassed him to the point that "no reasonable man could be expected to endure it."

Gillespie, 52, is seeking a $25,000 judgment. He also sued America Online Inc., charging that the Internet service provider was negligent in not canceling Charpentier's and Marlowe's accounts after he filed complaints against them.

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 31.

I read the rules of my ISP and basically it says that they can do anything they want to, any time they want to and if they want they can change any rules they want without notice to me.

Oh, I meant that in the earlier posted article re the same story that it was a bit more involved than this current article. I think the reason the guy sued these two was because they drove to his house and took photos. And then they went and posted them on the net. Sort of a harrassment thing, only he gave them his personal details in a chatroom. Why he did that, I have no idea.

AOhell never gets rid of anyone who causes trouble unless troublemaker flames a gay, it seems. They are oh so protective of gay rights over every else's at AOhell. That seems to be the consensus of many of my chat buddies there. Oh, and if you're an Arab terrorist or someone pretending to be one and make threats, why, AOhell thinks you are ok, too.

They just seem to hate us rightwingers, women, heterosexuals, Christians, churchgoers, billpayers, worker bees. Oh, and if we are troops, they REALLY hate us. AOhell is the ultimate libnut ISP and I despise them. AOhell is the ISP of the gay male neoMarxist and they don't want anyone else's business, it seems.
