Remember a time when retreat was the ultimate humiliation and would be avoided at ALL costs? Remember Bradley taunting Rommel's request for surrender with a defiant "nuts!"? Today and we have the "military might" of the world's great powers chased away by a bunch of savages with rocks and sticks. My how times have changed.

Rommel died before the Battle of the Bulge, and the American General was McAuliffe.

I wouldn't exactly call the UN forces "mighty". Going to war without the UN is like going hunting without your lawnmower...
it's a meddlesome burden, better left behind.

That was Colonel McCauliffe I believe. The German general was either Deitrich or Pieper I think.

Check your facts, it was not Rommel and Bradley. The US general was Clark. This occured during the Battle of the Bulge.
