I get the same reaction where I live. There are some rock solid democrats that can't stand the thought of her being president. I've heard that although she is a Clinton she is not Bill Clinton. They want Bill Clinton back in office.
BTW - Had Hillary been limited to using only campaign money raised in NY, she would have lost in a major way. If I remember correctly of the first $9M she only collected $800K from New Yorkers.
I am in the camp that believes the NY GOP should have crushed her from the day it was rumored she was running. Never let the demon get strong before you drive it out.
They didn't ask Kerry or AlGore what they thought about Hill.
Another reason im relocating the family from NY to Texas this year!
"Isn't Hillary a woman, or at least commonly mistaken for one? If so, she's automatically disqualified from being president."
Hell no, she's a hermaphroditic devil, possessing partial organs from all three genders, male, female and satanic. {Satan has his own gender, which he shares with wicca}.
The witch/bitch prefers to ride her own broom but will settle for bj's sloppy seconds. After typing this vitriolic rant, I need both a shower and a trip to Confession. My bad, but sometime the truth is nasty.
RELEASE THE BARRETT REPORT... we'll see those numbers drop in a hurry.
May also show they want her OUT of THEIR state. Sharing the misery.
You'll be welcomed down here, just like I was, if you are a conservative New Yorker. Liberal New Yorkers need not apply...
There are a lot of things I miss about New York State but the crushing state and local taxes, appalling business climate, crumbling infrastructure, scummy politicians, Liberal bed wetters, gun control, and whiney welfare mentalities are not among them.
You've had an easier time of finding candidates in NY than here in CA.
We've got problems.
Not to worry- I'm a rabid conservative New Yorker! :)
Where in the South are you because like Giovanna, I and my wife are looking to move too.
There are the usual granola crunchers and New Agers in some areas, particularly around Asheville and Boone, but by and large most people are solid although there has been an influx of some Liberals and moneyed Northerners and Californians in recent years coming to take advantage of the climate and mountains - now that they've fouled their own nests where they came from.
However, most areas in NC are still generally conservative if you stay away from the big cities and universities which always attract Liberals.
We have a son living near Asheboro (center part of the State) and going to visit him is like going back to an America of 60 years ago. The people are very friendly, family oriented and close knit and there is a Church on every corner. Also still very cheap land and lots of it. Property is more expensive in the mountains and on the shore but by and large is still a bargain compared to any place in NY except some of the poverty stricken upstate NY counties but then you have to contend with the awful NY taxes and depressing economy.
I Love NY - not what it is, but what it once was. Liberals, as they are wont to do, have ruined the place except for isolated pockets.
