Canadian General Election, Live Thread (UPDATE: Conservatives Win!)
Elections Canada ^ | N/A

Posted on 01/23/2006 8:03:44 AM PST by GreenLanternCorps

If JimRob, etc. approve this is the Live Thread for the Canadian General Election, on January 23rd, 2005.

We have a while to go before the returns start coming in, but I thought the thread needed to get up and running.

I live here Bunny and I can't tell what the hell is going on. Looks good in Quebec which is a surprise. Atlantic Canada can go to blazes. They are too stupid for words.

I guess I'm just used to being in Southwestern NB, which is a Conservative stronghold. I gather that Thompson was re-elected handily.

Is there any danger that Bloc Quebec would throw in with the Liberals?

No. The Bloc Quebecois hates the Liberals, as do their constituents. They'd rather eat broken glass than team with the Librano$. They'd lose votes and credibility.

Thanks for the explanation. I had seen CPC as Comunist Party of Canada , so seeing those initials, with high numbers, scared me.
