If in fact the president does believe that our current laws are restricting him because of new technologies ... then he should come together with Congress and say we need to amend it," Hagel said on ABC's "This Week." Dipsh*t, Congress has done such a good job on the Patriot Act, I'm sure the would have whistled that right through.

When Hagel took off on President Bush right before the 2004 election, I was finally convinced what a sack of excrement he truly was. If I lived in Nebraska, I wouldn't vote for him if he were running for septic tank inspector. Strike that! I would vote for him, if he would personally inspect each one.(from the inside)

and perhaps he can suggest a new program - the Predator drones will be equipped with a loudspeaker that plays Miranda rights before it fires its missiles. Some of these people in Congress are a joke
If god forbid we are attacked again .. I will point the finger right at them

This RINO ticks me off. The NSA general that gave a briefing made it clear that if we give the details we will likely give up the effectiveness of the program.

Hey, Chuck, why don't you explain why you and a lot of fellow Congressmen have such a fetish about this subject and insist on acting like you didn't know anything about this program until last month.

I have no other choice but to see this for what it is:
Treasonist tripe from a Traitor, helping the enemy....
I wouldn't be so angry if their numbers were few......
but everywhere I look, there they are: traitors........
each and every one of them.

There still has been no one come forward and say they have been harmed by the supposed illegal surveillance. Some have said they think that maybe someone has listened to their overseas conversations but admit they don't know. By law, they have to show harm.

The likes of McCain and Hagel are the worst type of Rhino. At least we dont have to constantly listen to the Chafees and Snowes of the Congress always bashing Bush. McCain and Hagel are just self serving pieces of garbage. All freepers should j pick just one high profile Rhino and all make donations to his opponent(if a viable conservative challenges) to see if as a group we could affect at least one of these jerks future.

I would say the effectiveness of the intercept
program is already diminished because of the disclosure and the continuous media/opposition political noise.
There is no doubt that hearings will result in operational details leaking out, further damaging the effort. President Bush does not want to go to the FISA court for an after the fact approval because he does not want to risk disclosure of methods/sources. He shouldn't have to in war time. The fewer people who know the operational details, the better.

We need to start rejecting this feeding frenzy the liberal press indulges in so balatantly.
All of this, and so much more, is:
"just another routine of Bush-bashing in the liberal press. There are too many Ahabs to count, all single-mindedly" miscreants out to harpoon our President.
You would almost think he's ....running for President!

A Republican member of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Sunday that President Bush has more explaining to do on his domestic spy program and cast doubt on the administration's assertion of broad executive power. Better yet, just sit down with Usama and lay out our efforts to thwart terrorist actions in our country.
That would be the politically correct thing to do.....

I wouldn't be so angry if their numbers were few...... but everywhere I look, there they are: traitors........ each and every one of them. And until it hits their personal bag of political concerns, most politicians will maintain an anti-American stance for personal gain.

the traitor's objective is to get the information out to the enemy.....
people who do these things should remember the fewer people who know the operational details, the better.
I agree with your assessment, and the sooner we demand, as a nation, these traitors (stfu) ...... we will have dismantled and destroyed a treasure trove of information being supplied to this nation's enemies by some of our congressional idiots. Sorry former President Ronald Reagan...but during a time of war, if the dirty dogs are wearing an "R" after their name, and they turn traitor, we have to call them out.... I'm certain you wouldn't disapprove .....

I have trouble understanding the value of getting a warrant after the fact. What would the courts do say no, throw away whatever you have learned? If they had to wait before they listened in, it would be too late. I just don't understand this.
