Maybe we disagree on this, but I think the best plan currently in the Senate that has any chance of passing is Kyl/Cornyn.
Maybe, just maybe we should get control of the border before we come up with a plan. Then we get Real ID and clean up the mess. The Salvadoran refugee issue just indicated how well guest worker will work. We allowed them temporary refuge after the tradgedies in their country and guess what? Now they don't want to go home!!! Guest worker crap!!!
Not sure if this eases your fears(or mine for that matter), but I believe that the Kyl/Cornyn plan does not call for the worker program to be set up until the stronger enforcement provisions are in place.
