If you agree with cjboog2, you must disagree with giving to America's and Europe's poors, since resources are limited and if we give to one party there won't be any left to give to the other side.
Damn, I take a billion or two if its just laying around cluttering up the White House.
He also thanked the religious folks in the audience who have led efforts to address the dire problems in sub-Saharan Africa. He particularly mentioned Bill Frist who apparently spends a good deal of time in Africa every year and was there last year digging water wells.
So, I would admit that he may have gone overboard in attempting to shakedown the US for more foreign aid, he did offer reals props to W and others for what has been done.
