Whoever threatens a citizen with death for exercising his rights, imprison him.

Dude,
I don't think Islam is going to exist much longer in the West.
Either that, or I don't think the West is going to exist much longer. Period.

First France, then Australia, now Denmark. Will all of Europe be soon ablaze?

I'm thinking this is a great development in the WOT. It should awaken the West to the fact that we're not fighting a ragtag group of terrorists.
We're fighting an ideology, perhaps a smaller subset of Islam, but a whole lot bigger than a few islamic radicals.

I agree with your comment and with your tagline. The British Tories now have a chance to display some backbone.

David Davis, the shadow home secretary, said the police should take action against what were clearly offences of incitement to murder. The police can't do that. It might make them mad or offend them.

How far was Hitler allowed to go, while passive Europe sat still and lamented? I sincrely doubt that the Europeans have leaned ANYTHING from history. We will be condemned again for not interfering in their domestic sitution fast enough.

I don't think Islam is going to exist much longer in the West. I am not quite there yet, but I am heading in your direction.
Islam thinks the West is weak.
They think that they can both decry freedom of speech to "insult" their prophet while exploiting our freedom of speech to make terroristic threats.
It is up to the West to make clear in a most muscular manner that such a dichotomy is not only hypocrisy, but criminal. And that those who are unwilling to at least co-exist with the values of their host countries are no longer welcome there.
The West can still make that condition, and I see signs that the West is realizing that this is a stand that has to be made.
And if the West is not willing to make that stand, then the next step will be a defensive step like you postulated.
This is the opening salvo of that battle.

From a gathering in Iowa on Feb. 1: Daschle said that Dems "have a chance to shift the" nat'l "debate back to domestic issues because voters are tired of the status quo and the scare tactics over terrorism."

It looks like Western Europe is finally realizing that the liberalism they have promulgated for the past 40 years is the road to national suicide.

It should awaken the West to the fact that we're not fighting a ragtag group of terrorists. Well, there is one last hurdle to be crossed.
The somewhat reasonable left has to realize that this is not about an effort to reconcile cultural values in a manner sensitive to diversity.
But that the diversity in question is too great to be bridged by the methods that liberals espouse - and instead the liberal mantra is interpreted by the Islamists as weakness.

How long is the free world going to put up with this crap from these lunatics?
If I see somebody maching on my front lawn, ranting and raving, and carrying a sign that says he is going to kill me because I am an "unbeliever", guess what's going to become of him?
Hint follows:
