One reversal after many many many bad calls against Seattle.

Lame Refs.

THAT is the story of the game.

These guys should be beaten with sticks.

It's obvoius to you to that the refs want the steelers to win too, huh! I've seen a few bad calls in here. Not a coincidence, I don't think!

Hasselbeck is just plain off today. Too much passing, not enough Alexander, IMHO

I've been thinking about who the Steelers have played in the playoffs. Cincy looses their QB early in the game. Manning looks like he's directing a Keystone Kops movie instead of the Colts' awesome offense. Denver collapses on both defense and offense. Now Seattle is being blown away in the "Flag Bowl". It's just weird how Pitts has caught these normally good teams on lousy days. Pitts deserves some of the credit. But in a normal year they would have been watching the SB on TV.

This game is really poorly officiated. They overturned the one because they HAD to. But the default here when called on the field is FOR the steelers on everything. I agree.... I think this thing is fixed.

If I didn't know better, I would say this one was fixed. But that can't be.

It's just horrible, horrible, officiating that all falls on the side of the Steelers.

And I am a Broncos/Cowboys fan who lives in Arkansas and cares absolutely zero about either of these teams.

I'm not going to watch any of the post-game praise for the Steelers, wondering if it was all pre-ordained. The question is always going to be: would they have earned the win without the bad officiating? I don't think so, as they didn't overcome the margin of really bad calls. But I hoped that they would. Who can tell? And if you can't, what does "victory" mean?

The Seahawks were going to score to go ahead.

Really?

That's an absolute fact, then?

No possibility at all of a fumble, interception, bad snap, et?

It was an absolute certainty that they would score?

Really?

Would you mind telling me who's going to win next year's Super Bowl and World Series, too? Since you can see into the future and all.

re: your screen name...I saw Frank Gaffney today, talking about how the Saudis "own" mosques in the U.S. It made me think about that line in Pollyanna where she says "no one can own a church," and Karl Malden has his "Come to Jesus" moment...

Do you think that the reason that more Muslims have not denounced the 'beheading" rhetoric has anything to do with the Saudis?

The point is, the reason it would be a fumble is that the ground cannot cause the fumble, but when the runner is not touched, it would have been called a fumble, even though he was down and the ground caused the fumble. Had the P'burgh player not touched him, it would've been Pittburgh's ball, even if Hasselback was down.

In the case of the Roth TD run, I saw the side judge hold his hand up as if to signal 4th down and THEN switch to the arms up TD call. Now it's up to video to inconclusively show that the ball DIDN'T cross the plane.

Bingo. That's exactly what happened. And I'm a Viking fan so I could care less who wins this game.

the refs are handing them the game....

I'll buy that, the Steelers are just on the right side of the calls.

Being a Packer fan I remember the 95 NFC Championship game where the Packers forced 2 turnovers well into Dallas territory and both were overturned on obscure penalites which weren't even evident on replay.

I do agree that tonight there are some very bad calls being made but that is one of the things you have to deal with in football.

Yeah, if not for the refs, this could have been a great game.
