Perhaps, but there's a reason it's illegal.

And that reason would be what?

Re-start his dad's bootlegging business

Amen....

....and although all you refer madness spouting stoners who mock it and yuck it up whenever someone tries to condemn your precious sacramental herb and beside being turned into ne'er do well vegetables, there is a sizable minority of cannabis fanciers, who have psychotic episodes....but you can google that up for yourself, that is if your not too busy watching the wallpaper move.

Perhaps it's not cannabis that's causing the rise in mental illness. Maybe, just maybe, it's lurking in our food and water supplies. (Asbestos ready)

Yeah, good point. Last time, the supply came from a friend, someone I knew. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack, yet he swore there were no additives.

That's the trouble with drugs. You never know who or what's been 'stepped on.' Give me booze any day, for the quality control! ;o)

I call BS. Weed does not make one psychotic, and underlying condition does.

Very true.. Why are so many people on anti-depressants today? why are so many kids hyper-active and have ADD?
How many Baby Boomers are successful in life and have had there fair share of cannabis?

Ridiculous how some will try to make unfounded notions about a natural herb that you can grow yourself.

"outlaw alcohol? Whatever would Ted Kennedy do then?"

Well,.....

He could always import and distribute bootleg liquor, thus replenishing the Kennedy fortune. After all, that's where Joe made all his money in the first place.

You could probably come up with an anectdote of how Hostess Twinkies create psychotic murderers.

This was an actual defense used in the Milk/Moscone murders in San Francisco back in the 70's.

I think the term "Twinkie defense" was used in the media.

Of course its BS. There's a huge push of reefer madness in the UK since it was downgraded, courtesy of yellow journalism of the likes not seen since Hearst was pimping for DuPont.

This does not describe someone high on pot. Pot is being used here to cover for something a lot more severe in its effects, possibly PCP.

You are in part correct. However, pot does cause psychotic problems. Last year we had a family member who had to be admitted to the hospital problems she was having due to smoking pot. The doctors in the psych ward talked with us, and said the majority of admissions they have due to drug problems are from smoking pot. The pot being smoked today has been refined, and is 20 to 30 times as potent as what kids smoked 30 years ago.

Kennedy and a bunch of other politicians would not be able to function without alcohol. It will never be outlawed.

IMO, alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana.
