Didn't the only Congresswoman to vote against the Declaration of War, Jeanette Rankin come from the area.
Probably be OK to put her up in bronze.

That I can't vouch for, however:
The Seattle area is home to Congressman Baghdad Jim McDermott, and Senator bin Laden builds day care centers Patti Murray.

Yes, you are precisely correct. Here is the statue of one of history's most dangerous genocidal tyrants, in Ballard USA as you mentioned. ONLY DISGUSTING PEOPLE KEEP STATUES OF LENIN:

It's better then that. Every state had official 9/11 observances. Governor Gary Locke lead the one for Washington state, and wouldn't even wear an American flag lapel pin.

Do they really have a statue of Lenin in Seattle??? Yes, they do. And displayed with honor too.

I know.
It makes me angry to think about a ruthless killer like Stalin being displayed with honor, while heroes like Pappy are disregarded.
Grrrrr.

Thank you for sharing. I have the utmost respect for our WW2 veterans and especially those POW's. Pappy is only one of a very few that are/were human that I think are truly better than I.
I am afraid these little campus *&%^$& over time will white wash our hero's and turn them into criminals. This type of action is devastating to me.
I thank you and your father for your families sacrifices. For he is a real American Hero in my eyes. God Bless
