If I must, who here remembers the movie the man who saw tommarow narrorated by Orson Wells. It showed that a person from the area of Persia with help from the Russians will start a nuclear war.
I saw that movie when I was 9 and the more I see how Iran is acting it is scary as hell. I am very worried about this country and the rest of the world. I asked that all Freepers who have not seen this movie see it.
Call me chicken little but after you view it many things really have come into play.
Do you also believe that Nostradamus predicted MODERN future events as well?
Should I be afraid of the Morlocks too? :-)
I know it is crazy but I am very scared of what the Iranians will do. I really believe that Israel is not going to put up with any shit and they unlike us will take care of Iran. I just made a post thats it Morlocks are only an option.
Japan does not accept immigrants. They preserve their national culture and identity. So, don't count on moving there.
Do you know ANYTHING at all about H.G. Wells?
Besides being a damned SOCIALIST, he was also an EARLY anti-war nutjob.
Yes, I like his fiction books. Do I take them seriously? HELL NO!
If you watch Sci-Fi films ( and I'm talking about those from 1900-1984 ) not a one of them has contained anything that is remotely the same as our current world situation.
Oh, some few things ( OBJECTS ) are now in use; though not many.
Absolutely NONE of the clothes were EVER worn!
Fiction is NOT fact; nor is it intended to be taken as prophesy. Science Fiction is written FOR that time!
I hope this helps you a bit. :-)

Look the reason europe is in trouble is because they have been on two tracks concerning their immigration "dilemma" simultaneously and they have both been abhorrently WRONG. Europe has always been - as has been its historic nature - the most racist pompous arrogant class-conscience "old" world society which have NEVER accepted or tried to assimilate its immigrant community - mostly islamic middle eastern or north africans - and at the same time their governments have done everything to appease and ingratiate the corrupt totalitarian islamofacsist middle eastern regimes ONLY for their short term financial benefits - mostly by playing up their anti-American sentiments. This is the state of europe today, but Pravda should thing twice before pretending US and europe is in the same predicament. American culture has never had that tiresome "old" world sentiments. America was made by immigrants - and of course its native American society - but as each immigrant community has joined in this great experiment, the community has not ostracized and separated them - frankly American culture has no concept of separating cultures as is the case in class-conscience old world europe - but they have mostly welcomed, accepted, assimilated, and added their contributions to the great melting pot. That is why as there have been venomous islamist demonstrations all over europe with the mohamad cartoons, and moslem youth demonstrations in France, and native British born islamists bombing subways in London, here in US there hasn't been much commotion about the cartoons - as far as I know - from the moslem community, and 9/11 was accomplished by foreigner islamists.
I completely agree with you. - per my post 87.
When the Constitution was in force generally, it provided a bulwark against the more egregious abuses. Now that the judicial class (in broad) takes it as a given that the Constitution may be rewritten at whim from the bench, it's simply a matter of time -- speaking historically -- until the universal historic progression of government repeats itself in this nation.
Countries rise and decline. England entered into the 20th century as a superpower, and left it as an also ran. By the looks of things the future is in the east.
It amazes me how many conervatives post from Communist News Daily PRAVDA. Why don't you take a trip to their about page.
Thanks for your advice. I had no idea Pravda was communist propaganda. When I have been here as long as yourself, maybe I'll have a better handle on what is appropriate for this forum.
BTW, FR is NOT a conservative forum by any stretch of the imagination.
"Wood is a renewable source. "
However, it takes many years for a tree to mature into a commodity.
And I don't believe there are more trees now than when my ancestors landed in Jamestown.
I think you're confusing HG Wells with Orson Welles.
Very nicely said.
"As a rule, immigrants preserve their national identity, which gives them a reason to defend their rights and needs."
Except in Australia.
"CANBERRA: Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks. A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.
Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that Australia was a secular state and its laws were made by parliament. "If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a theocratic state, then Australia is not for you," he said on national television. "I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia, one the Australian law and another the Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity to go to another country which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option," Costello said. Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked move to the other country."
We'll see about that.....I have my doubts.
