In what ways is he a liberal? A more instructive question might be- in what ways is he NOT a liberal- but never mind that.
Whenever there's a discussion between Julian and anyone- he unfailingly and immediately takes the liberal view and runs with it. That he does so in an annoying and pompous manner makes it all the more irritating.
Since FOX attempts to be fair and balanced- they DO have liberals on various shows. Julian is one- but does no good to his cause because of his attitude.
Besides- he whines.
He also dances poorly! :-)
No one with a brain would dispute the fact that Ted Turner is very left wing liberal. So when Ted chose a conservative to represent the right on CNN's "Cross Fire" show he chose Pat Buchanan. Does anyone really think Pat was chosen because he is an effective advocate of the Conservative cause? Or was he chosen because Ted Turner believed Pat to be an ineffective buffoon who would make few if any converts?
When Roger Ailes chose those to represent the left on Fox he chose such people as Alan Combs and Julian.
If Fox wanted to promote Liberalism, it would have chosen an articulate and attractive spokesperson for liberalism. Instead he chose ineffective liberals.
I often wonder if Pat, Alan, or Julian have even a tiny clue as to why they were chosen.
