By saying that Islam is a "religion of peace" long ago, President Bush co-opted a slew of problems both abroad and here at home. Don't think there's not enough radical Muslims in this country, including the Black Muslim followers of Calypso Louie, to stage riots, window smashings and car burnings if they were called what they really are by our most prominent leaders.
One can find a lot of fault with the President, but this is not one of them. Remember he's a pretty good master of strategery in the WOT. Calling this phony "religion" (it's a cult) what it is definitely NOT is part of GWB's poker game.

I agree with most of what you say. However there is a big problem that I am worried about. If the president is indeed playing a poker game with them there is one very big flaw to his technique: he will only be president until January 2009. After that there is a good chance that the next president will be an appease and surrender at all costs dim, and a very good chance that it will be an appease at all costs RINO. If we don't win this thing decisively within the next couple of years, chances are good that some squishy, poll driven, image obsessed jelly fish will be the next commander-in-chief called on to finish the job. Are you comfortable with that?
Make them very, very angry and perhaps they will destroy themselves in the process. I do not want to leave this problem for my children and grand children to have to face. This is not Social Security, this is life, as we know it or, death.
