don't forget that UAE doesn't recognize Israel
Ideally yes. Practically there's not enough money in it which is why there's only 4 companies in the world (2 in China, one in Denmark, one in the UAE) do it. They get economies of scale.
What's really stupid is that the WH released that GWB didn't know about it before the deal. This is not good.
McCain is triangulating now ...
I think it must be in the contracts or water at MSNBC...every single "conservative" that they have on their station has gone way squishy left.
Scarborough, Tucker Carlson, Pat Buchanan (not LEFT, BUT WACKO)..
AND, when they have guests that are pretty good on other stations, like Byron York...even the guests start "skewing" their opinion more left...
I used to love Monica Crowley, on Fox...and I can't tell you if she slid left....because I refused to watch that AWFUL show with Ron Reagan...but, I wouldn't doubt that even she has gone squishy.
Hello Johnnie! Rush is on it today..
There's an Israeli company too (ZIM) they're no good becuase the Washington Times said we can't hire anyone from a "hostile region".
Kuwait didn't recognize Israel (until the Palestinians and the Israelis come to a settlement its suicide for ANY Arab country in the area). We fought a war for their freedom. I am 100% a supporter of Israel, unlike Pat Buchanan and some of those folks who are fighting the port deal. But the facts are that it does not endanger the country's security and my belief is that there are significant foreign policy intelligence aspects involved.
Thanks for the warning ..but I haven't watched Scarborough since Katrina and I'm not gonna start to watch now .. Joe can go to hell as far as I'm concerned
As for Laura ... if she wants to jump in bed with the likes of Scarborough and Boxer like I heard about last night??? ... well then she only hurts herself
I don't give a damn whose side I'm on or who agrees with me. As Patrick Henry might say, I smell a rat. This is not good and the people all over the country know it in their gut even if Bush and the bureaucrats don't.
Many/most of the members of the UN - who have a great presence in Hew York city every day - also do not recognize Israel.
But if UAE is our ally, and Israel is our ally, then we have twice as many allies in the region as we would have if we were only allied with Israel.
This is something that I just took for granted-- we run and manage our own ports. Basic history shows that much.
correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Jordan and Egypt recognize Israel..
Rush is right on: The White House is a "Step Off."
I guess...I stopped watching that entire network....well, almost. I only tune in when they are running "hard" news during Fox's business block and that's only because I can't STAND CNN. It must be some crazy juice in that building. I've tried them again and again and they keep burning me. Chris Matthews has always been crazy and maybe he infects the rest of them. Watching them is like reading P.J. Publix DUmmie FUnnies.
Scarborough got nailed on his own show last night when one of the pundits asked him if he'd be against this deal if the ports were going to be owned by the Australian Government. He disengeniously said "yes", he was against any Governemnt (no the fact it was Arab) owning the ports.
More details on why there was no 45-day review of the deal...

Last week, it emerged that both Dubai Ports World and Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., the seller, specified that an agreement by the U.S. government not to make a formal investigation as a condition for the deal.
... well then she only hurts herself

She is sounding very foolish, and it is surprising, given her recent trip to the area.
