So, let me get this straight. She did a 10-year study on portraits that were largely determined to be fakes?
Where did her pay come from?
And she seems to have decided that there is no controversy over who really wrote the works accredited to Shakespeare (the guy in the portraits). If she thinks that's been settled, she ought to go proclaim her certainty in some of the pubs around Oxford and Cambridge. She may be surprised at the reaction she receives.

She asked forensic scientists from Germany's Federal Bureau of Criminal Investigation to look at works of art depicting Shakespeare. Well, did they?

Mikulicz's disease is basically a benign and non-cancerous swelling of the lacrimal gland (located in the upper, outward corner of your eye). It may be caused by tuberculosis, leukemia, lymphosarcoma, poisoning, sarcoidosis, syphilis, or gout. Onset may occur in conjunction with respiratory tract infection, oral infection, or tooth extraction.
Hildy's not only a kook but an over-dramatic one at that.

Hammerschmidt-Hummel's conclusion was based on a "fundamental misunderstanding" since "portraits are not, and can never be forensic evidence of likeness," the gallery said. I have to agree with what the gallery said.

Re your #27 -
It seems that England was swept by two plagues during Shakesperes' lifetime.
A couple of his theaters had to be shut down to minimize the exposure between people in the audience - could that condition have been a lingering symptom of a non lethal bout of the plague?
Does anyone have a picture of the "Death Mask"?

could that condition have been a lingering symptom of a non lethal bout of the plague? I don't know what, if any, has been written about post-illness physical manifestations of plague survivors, but usually Mikulicz's describes swelling caused by active white blood cells and active disease.
There were supposedly people who had the germ but had no symptoms (i.e. carriers) because of a mutation in their immune systems. Interesting to wonder if they did have some physical changes that no one noticed at the time.
I suspect analysis if his bones might give us some clues but I can't see that ever happening especially since the message on his tombstone says to leave his bones alone!
