I have my doubts about Err Amerika beating Rush Limbaugh...seems to me Franken only wishes he could beat the Great One. After all, it Air America getting knocked off the airwaves, not El Rushbo.

Recalling when the announcement was made, I stated on this forum that no one in their right mind would want to spend three hours of their day listening to a bunch of braying whining crybaby Liberals telling Americans everything that's wrong with our President, our military, our government and how wonderful it would be if the U.S. were more like Cuba.
You'd be better served raking your nails on a chalkboard.

AA was number three

Depends on what the meaning of 'share' is.... and whether you're counting up or down. Mostly the latter.

Uh, sounds like ratings to me.

The western part of Montana is an environmentalists and animal rights wacko's wet dream. Missoula, for example, is largely a college town, it's where the University Of Montana is located. Without the college, Missoula would just be just another small town in Montana.

Land is cheap, so liberals from places like California or Western Washington come over to snap up hundreds of acres for far less than it would cost in California or Washington, thus driving up the price of the land.

("Bummed" is Liberalese for "upset", folks.)

Actually, "Bummed" is a derivative of bum, a classic economic model of liberal society. Bums expect society to pay for their lifestyle choices, while denying any personal responsibility for their lot in life.

This quote from Stanley of Hamilton simply reflects the liberal view that radio station owners owe Air America some sort of perceived debt, and if their shows fail to generate advertisor interest, it's due to the bigotry and homophobia those sponsors obviously possess. The typical Liberal answer would be to invoke some sort of government program beginning with "Title" and ending with a number between 1 and 100.

Traverse City Michigan: wtcm radio: Rush 8.9
AA 0.7

Petoskey Michigan: wjml radio Rush 11.o
AA 0.3

Up here in Northern Michigan, the liberal socialist call Airhead America radio "progressive radio." We call it "whining radio."

Airhead America has absolutely no listeners in any market that I checked. No one wants to advertise with them, and the only reason that AA is still on the radio, is because they are subsidized by people like sorros and other loony leftist millionaires who use AA radio to keep campaigning against GW. Michigan is where the liberal socialist control nearly every city, I cannot find AA market for those cities?

Must be censorship!

Watch for a push by the liberal socialist for a new law that requires the FCC to make radio stations to give the liberals equal time, and the ability to rebut anything a conservative commentator says over the radio.

Liberals, lefties, you have my sympathy, sincerely. This "Jack" radio killed my beloved WCBS FM oldies radio in NYC. I will never listen to it, not for 30 seconds. Do what hubby did, get Sirius satellite radio, great oldies there. Not sure about left wing stuff, but I'm sure Sirius or XM has some.

Thanks for the link. I checked out our market, Dallas-Ft. Worth. With all the dozens of stations here, the AA affiliate was dead last. In their defense, they did manage a 0.5 in the Winter '05 book, but otherwise, it was straight asterisks.

There's a great oldies station, WMTR, from Morristown, NJ that streams over the web. They play stuff I haven't heard in 40 years - the first time I tuned in, they blew me away with Reparata and the Delrons. Try finding them on your typical cheez-whiz oldies station. Doo-wop and girl group heaven for sure! Check them out at mikesradioworld.com.

At work we listen, by consensus, to a sports talk radio station. When they accidentally venture into other areas they prove illiterate. Once on a Friday afternoon there were just two of us there, and the other guy asked if I minded if he listened to AA. I had never heard it so said it was OK. Someone other than Franken was on part of the time while Franken's show was on part of the time.

Yikes! Beyond the nonsense they spew, I can't believe they could put something together that utterly boring. In his chosen profession, Franken is the anti-comic, but this was way beyond the call of duty. I can't believe even a liberal could stand it for a second show. Sponsors? Maybe Sominex.

You'd be better served raking your nails on a chalkboard.

I can't argue that. Indeed, I would say on the days Rush thinks he blew it, he could spend a few minutes listening to AA. It would perk him right up. Sometimes Rush gets on a subject I don't care about. Sometimes he gets a liberal caller and gives that person 15 minutes. In both cases he loses me for the day.

I can't believe AA has lasted ANYWHERE.

“I'm bummed. It sounds like censorship to me,” said Stanley North of Hamilton.

Ever think to actually buy one of the sponser's products?

I don't care if they were breasts implants, if you're serious about the show, support it.

For myself, I've been doing business with a lot of the "Steve Kane and Bryan Show" sponsers for a while now. I make sure I let them know where I've heard their name.

And if that doesn't work, try calling it "racism."
