And our intrepid cable channel news agencies never bothered to mention that such folks existed.

I'm trying to figure out an anchor for a weekly post about the items the "traditional" news sources covered and about the items they refused to cover.

So far I haven't found a "hook," like a "week in review" from one of the MSM sites.  I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to create such a list myself, but I'm not sure I'm up to keeping track of every show every night for even one week.

Can you think of any community I might be able to look to for help? (cynical mode on)

Seriously, how well do you think a "daily news" or "weekly news" thread would go over as a way to enlist the troops in catching all of this stuff so that we can do up relevant summaries?

I'll help you think abut it. The idea is a good one.
Legacy media seems to get in a frenzy about one item at a time, almost as a shield against having to face other issues.
The items they choose to focus on are so tangential to the important news that it is hard to remember what they were.

For example, IIRC, the entire week that President Bush was meeting national leaders in South America, the media fetishized on Libby's indictment.
