Absolutely correct. Stewart ripped the Hollyweird agenda to shreds. That's why the audience was the most uncomfortable one I ever saw.

Probable 75% of the viewing audience never got his subtle digs of Tinsel Town and his sly inside innuendos. They all want Red Skelton up there on that stage.

The only problem with Stewart is that he's better in a more intimate setting instead of the huge cavern he's in.

I thought he was more indirectly funny than hell......and he was hitting the right buttons with me.

I dunno, due to his liberal inclinations, I thought those statements were largely ironic.

Actually I enjoyed Stewart's monologue....he was certainly poking the very people he was standing in front of..

Even the Cheney joke was more about Bjork than Cheney...

I even get the feeling that when sparring with Clooney about the first award...he was being facetious...I doubt that Clooney is "deep" enough to realize it though.
