My wife dragged me to a one-woman "Hollywood Review" at a casino several years ago (she had free tickets). The performer did a montage of Oscar winning 'Best Songs' starting from the '30's. I recognized most of the songs up until the '90's, then I drew a big blank.
Let's face it, folks--Hollywood is a lot of things, but it's mainly boring. I don't go to the movies for two reasons: (a) the content leans to the left, but mostly (b) the movies sound boring.
I've got to look hard, but I've found some really enjoyable foreign movies.
