Every government in the history of the world has forced certain behaviors. We use the government force to prevent utilities from charging monopoly prices. We use government force to get people to pay for their policing and national defense. We use government force to stop people from committing fraud.
It really damages your side's credibility when all we here is 'the IDrs are trying to use the government to force the teaching of ideas that may disagree with evolution' and then you say something like this.
Can't have it both ways.

That's a silly argument, I've never used it, and I've never seen it used.
It is the province of government to force parents to give their kids an education. It's been that way in the US for over 150 years. That's what truancy laws are about.
