His "fighting Islamic terrorists" involved raping a lot of teenage girls in Bosnia and killing civilians. Every "man" in Srebenica between their early teens and 60s was killed by Serb militias--some 8,000 individuals. Several hundred thousand were driven into exile. His war was simple ethnic turf-fighting.
Milosevic created more widows and grieving mothers than any other European leader in decades. That's not a side I should hope Americans would EVER be on, and I make no apologies.
There were thousands of more men in Srebrenica than that - and most of the army arrived to Tuzla, where many still live. They do not have near 8,000 Muslim men found and identified. They have about the same number as was lost during the 3 1/2 year long civil war.
The Srebrenica men were CUTTING OFF SERBS' HEADS AND FILMING IT.
Their commander Naser Oric - who was not killed, obviously, and is now in the Hague - showed videos in early 1994 to Washington Post reporter John Pomfret, of headless Serb men he and those Muslim men you whine about murdered.
Why feel so sorry for the obese widows - and they are often obese (see the photos) who thought nothing of their men decapitating other men?
Agreed. We belonged on neither "side" in that civil war.

I have no sympathy for Milosevic. The Slovenes and Croats were not Muslim. If he was such a great leader for Serbia, why did he rig elections and why did the Serbs overthrow him in a popular uprising?
