Sorry, but you are wrong. I said to paint "INS" on the Crown Vics. INS is not a federal agency. Therefore painting "INS" on one's vehicle could not be construed as impersonating a "peace officer".

Except maybe to you and a bunch of illegal Mexicans.

merely applying green reflective material to the side of a crown vic, mimicking tha pattern on the side of a BP vehicle, would be effective enough.

Didn't the gummint change the name of INS anyway? If so, you can now use it on the car as it is no longer the agency that controls immigration, but the illegals don't know that. They sell black baseball hats with INS on the front in Las Vegas and I wanted to buy and wear it, but my wife thinks I'll attract violent illegals.

I once sat at the counter in a hotel restaurant where all the workers were Mexicans. They were telling funny stories in Spanish, I undertood them and laughed. The two guys stared at me and then took off running out the back entrance. Thought I was INS, I guess. Adios muchachos!
