"Well, let me see - the President called the Minutemen "vigilantes""

Last time I looked in the US Constitution, US Code, and California laws, there is no mention of "vigilante". There is no prohibiton against citizens and patriots, stepping forward, carrying guns, and torches, marching through the towns, to defend their nation, against an invasion, of illegal aliens, especially in time of war.

However, Webster's Dictionary, defines "vigilante", as one who takes the law into their own hands, especially, when the government fails to act.

The constitution has plenty of provisions for due process. Something that torch carrying mobs notoriously lack.
