I URGE ALL COOK COUNTY REPUBLICANS TO PICK A DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY BALLOT AND VOTE FOR CLAYPOOL.

You should have seen the look on the election judge's face when I asked for a Democratic ballot. She knows me and was all set to hand me the Republican ballot. I explained the above logic to her and she agreed I had a point. She commisserated on the split of the conservative vote willl likely put JBT at the top of the primary - "I just don't like that woman" was her final comment. Getting rid of Stroger will have as much effect on your tax bill in Cook County as putting Oberweis in the governor's seat, and Claypool has a much better chance.

You are the first person (besides myself) to make any sense on this board. All these people are so blinded by hatred of the RINOS they are freepmailing me that they would vote for Blago over JBT or just quit the party. Others are talking out of both sides of their mouth claiming that conservatives must stick together to rebuild the party in Illinois, but claim they will support a 3rd party candidate for Gov. if JBT gets elected... all the while supporting an unelectable candidate like Brady. I want the GOP to win but am not a loseratrian or greenie weenie who expects their party to win major national or statewide office when their poll numbers barely register against the front runners.

We need to take a victory where we can get it. JBT will be a marginally better Governor than Blago... Claypool will be much better than a corrupt Stroger. Vote the way the majority of freepers want, and it's Stroger re-elected from a hospital bed and Blago for 4 more years in Springfield (although JBT will beat him in the general election).
