"Conservative" does not equal "Republican".
Especially not in Illinois.
The GOP at all costs is not my objective. And as far as I can tell, it is not the objective of Jim Robinson. Forrest Claypool is more conservative in his approach to government than most of the Illinois GOP, and I voted accordingly. Who knows? After a term as Cook County President, he might go forward to bigger things.
Right again, Conservative does not equal Republican. After looking at the Republican sample ballot, I found candidates who some Democrats are more to the right of. We need all the help we can get in this County and this State... I'll take it from whomever can give it (Dem or Pub).
