My thoughts: People who are here illegally should go home and jump through the same hoops as everyone else. I don't blame them for coming... I would too.

I don't blame them for coming...

I blame them for breaking our law and sucking the country dry with education, healthcare and other welfare freebies.

I would too.

Yes, but would you commit a crime by breaking and entering and then demanding to be taken care of from cradle to grave?

No citizenship for illegal immigrants. Why bother to have immigration reform if we're not serious about defending our sovereignty? We might as well grant automatic citizenship to any one who takes up residence in the United States, no questions asked.

Last week, we asked all 55 Republican senators (via their press secretaries): "Will you rule out voting this year for an immigration reform bill that converts illegal immigrants to legal guest workers without making them return to their home countries first?"

Have Ruled Out Legalizing Illegals

Sen. Wayne Allard (R.-Colo.)
Sen. Kit Bond (R.-Mo.)
Sen. Conrad Burns (R.-Mont.)
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R.-Ga.)
Sen. John Cornyn (R.-Tex.)
Sen. Jim Inhofe (R.-Okla.)
Sen. Trent Lott (R.-Miss.)

Will Not Rule Out Legalizing Illegals

Sen. George Allen (R.-Va.)
Sen. Richard Burr (R.-N.C.)
Sen. Thad Cochran (R.-Miss.)
Sen. Larry Craig (R.-Idaho)
Sen. Craig Thomas (R.-Wyo.)

May Rule Out Legalizing Illegals

Sen. Michael Enzi (R.-Wyo.)
Sen. Olympia Snowe (R.-Maine)

Any immigration bill should also have a change to the definition of a US citizen. Changed to those legally in the country and have exclusions so that guest workers or migrant workers do not get citizenship because they dropped an anchor baby while they are here.

Our leaders have obviously decided that what 'we the people' want is diametrically opposed to what they intend to do...regardless

There is a big showdown coming down the tracks...
