Every Dem site I see worry the Republican opposition to Bush/Kennedy is a plot to drive Democrat voters to the Republicans in November.

I've seen that too, after all it's just the "elites" of both parties in favor of amnesty.

I believe that as well, and , as you said, in BOTH parties.

This is one of those cases where the big-timers decide that they are right, no matter what anyone says, and they will go ahead with their wrong ideas, hoping they can cover it with excuses and spin.

I don't think that the elites of both parties should be lumped together. The 'elites' of the Democrat party want full amnesty that leads to full citizenship. The 'elites' on the Republican party want "guest worker" programs that don't lead to citizenship. There is a huge difference in those two.

Even though I have come to a point where I don't like either of their approaches, I'm not going to lump any Republicans in with the Democrats because if we only had a choice of these two options, the Republican 'elite' option is still way superior to the Democrat 'elite' option.
