As the mother of 3 sons and a 4th son on the way, I am now being subjected to the anti-circ movement everywhere I turn. However, this is a *personal* decision shared by me and my husband - we'll do what we feel is best for our new son as we did for the first three.
Anyone who believes that men's rights groups re: foreskin preservation don't exist the way N.O.W. does is WAY wrong - pregnant women are bombarded constantly with how horrific that we'd consider mutilating our sons.
I think it's good that people are talking about it. I think the more people are informed the better.
It's kind of like vaccines. My kids were vaccinated, but I appreciate what some of the anti-vaccine groups have brought up.
The more informed we are about procedures done to our infants, the better.
I don't think any medical procedure should be done without careful consideration of the risks vs benefits.
