As fast as this thing goes upside down and backwards are distinct possibilities! Simultaneously!

Not sure, but I'd bet it's because it's open wheels.

We were lightspeed before NASA got off the launchpad

An Olds aluminum V-8 in a rear-engined Lotus racecar before Lotus was able to get a smallblock Ford V-8 to work and be safe to drive and race in the same identical rear-engined Lotus (that has the 4 cylinder Coventry Climax engine)

A Corvette engine in a Lister-Jag that raced at Daytona and Sebring

V-8 transplants in XKE-Jags before Jaguar

Automatic transmissions (American Borg-Warner ATs) from Jag sedans adapted and fitted for Liz Taylor and Eddie Fisher for their matching new red XKE-Jag roadsters
(I did not like the dashboard selector but they insisted on it)

[I did not like the dashboard selection]

You probably designed your own dashboards too, lol! In your mind for sure if not in reality.

You are correct potlatch!

We made burl walnut, rosewood, and other American and imported exotic hardwood dashboards for street sportscars

Jaguar used hardwoods on the doors and other places on their early sedans - beautiful woods and workmanship

Now these exotic hardwoods can be shipped to specialists that use vacuum processes to put tough clear polymers in the woods - great for custom revolver and pistol grips too - not traditional - but waterproof and eternally tough and the finish goes all thru the wood

Beats even marine varnishes and French Polished laquers for beauty and no more problemos with sun, heat, rain, moisture, dirt, wear, aging

Not a "plastic" fakeroo appearance either

I think I'll Fed-Ex myself out for that too!

We get these older threads crankin' again

The "dash selector" I mentioned was much like the slide control on a Chevy PU

No floorshift lever like the early Mustang's with automatic transmissions

Other early cars with dash mounted auto-trans controls were Chrysler products

Finally! A tricked-out racing car affordable for a NASCAR racing fan.
