Finally, some sanity from someone who realizes its not in the president's control. I think we all need to go back to what worked this last time--buy less and scare those a-wipes into lowering the price. Last time this happened I got to thinking every single time I needed (wanted?) to go somewhere, hey do I HAVE TO? I was surprised at how well this started to work for us, consolidating trips here and there, trying to save. All business started to suffer, people just were'nt going out as much. I'm seriously thinking the next vehicle to buy is the hybrid variety
Thanks - the way FR is these days I was expecting to get flamed for making the statement. I don't need to worry too much about gas prices because 1. I just don't drive all that much and 2. I make enough that it's annoying, but doesn't really have much of an impact on my bottom line.
The local news was listing Corvettes as fuel efficient cars (28 mph highway)
Given the ones that are the problem right now, it would drive up prices further in the short run. Right now, in fact, Iran's rhetoric is part of the problem, and because of our division on the Iraq war, threats aren't going to cut it - Iran doesn't believe we'll actually attack them.
How long will your ROI be for that?
