Oh, and not to mention LOWER GAS TAXES - help the American people.
Bush is like his father in that he can't or doesn't know how to negociate. Hopefully,congress will have some hearings that may help.
IMO, if something doesn't happen to lower the cost, the crime rate will skyrocket. It is difficult to imagine people already going to pawn shops for extra gas money.
The average government tax (federal, state and local) on a gallon of gas is 45.9 cents. In California, it is 60 cents. The oil companies make about 9 cents profit on a gallon of gas.
Didn't Hawaii put a cap on gas prices? Can't there be a federa cap on gas prices?
