If ID is bad science, it will fail on its own merits without any help from help from the state. Your tender concern for darwinism suggests that down deep you have no confidence in it. Apparently, unless it is propped up with boatloads of hot air, the ACLU, and the federal judiciary it will collapse.
Darwinism is rotten at the foundation, and you know it. That's why you refuse to stray more than a dozen from these threads and you panic and beg for the state to step with a club in when anybody suggests they don't believe in it.
Let it do battle on its own merits. let ID do battle on its own merits. Quit trying to force others to believe in your ignorant atheology.
I think you misunderstand the consequences of the law. Science teachers, given full freedom to discuss the origins of life, are going to discuss scientific conjectures, not religious ones. They will no longer be held back from teaching what science has to say.
That happens not to be the case. You just don't agree with it for religious reasons.
(Your belief does not constitute a scientific argument.)
Just pointing out the hypocrisy of those who claim to poke holes in evolution (without actually knowing what the theory says) but blindly accept whats written in the Bible without question.
I don't. If you want to place greater weight on a religious text than scientific evidence, that's fine with me. What disturbs me is when people misrepresent the scientific evidence in order to boost support for their religion, particularly when said misrepresentations are taught to children.
If ID is bad science, it will fail on its own merits
As a scientific theory, it has failed. That's why its proponents are reduced to directing their propaganda at schoolchildren.
Your tender concern for darwinism suggests that down deep you have no confidence in it. Apparently, unless it is propped up with boatloads of hot air, the ACLU, and the federal judiciary it will collapse.
Exactly. This should happen around the same time as the Western imperialist invaders are slaughtered by the heroic Republican Guard.
Fine. Excellent point. Let ID do battle on its own merits. Where should that battle be waged? In the elementary school classroom or in the adult arena of scientific journal publications.
Arguably, at best, ID might have been considered a reasonable working hypothesis about 10 years ago when it was first proposed. Now, in those 10 years, how much scientific output has been done by ID proponents. How much??? Absolutely ZERO. No publications. NOthing. There are more publications on horse feces than on ID in scientific journals.
Why??
The simple answer is that ID proponents are lazy. They refuse to do the work of science. They refuse to "sweat the data."
Note. I do indeed despise IDers. I despise them for the same reason I despise all liberals. Fundamentally, at their core, IDers, creationists and liberals are the same. They are lazy.
Darwin's Theory in the foundation on which the study of modern biology is based and no one is shoving it down your throat. It's a free country and you are free to wallow in ignorance as you wish. What you're not free to do is destroy other peoples right to an education in biology by inserting your own personal illogical superstitious myths into their science class whether it's the flying spaghetti monster or whatever it is you believe in. You have freedom of religion in a non taxed church for that purpose so, quit trying to shove it down everybody's throat by pretending it's science.
