I do agree with you. Here in the Cleveland area we seem to have a large pocket of Hispanic people. Many of them are expressing sheer disgust with the events planned for May 1. Those who have come here legally, worked hard and made legitimate lives for themselves and families want to know why these others feel their so 'special.'

Some concerns that have been expressed include they are watching their kids being unable to secure the 'good honest days work' because illegals are getting the jobs at some of the areas around here. Those "jobs Americans won't do" are seen as 'starter' jobs for some of the Hispanic youth.

These marches, rallies and boycotts are really splitting the community. The ones who have come here legally and assimilated to America are some of the most patriotic among us. They are getting resentful as the illegals are indeed making it difficult for them as national awareness is being raised and the entire Hispanic community is coming under more scrutiny.

That's right. They are also starter jobs for inner-city blacks and urban white kids. When you get into the construction trades, where illegals have moved in heavily, they are more than starter jobs period. There was an article up here on FR last week about ag businesses having trouble getting illegals to take the jobs because they could make more money in construction.

Whatever happened to the problem of no jobs for inner-city kids?
