I was working in Boston when they found the remains of an outhouse hole during "The Big Dig".

Yep, they shut down the project for a day at a taxpayer cost of ~$1-3M, while archaeologists shifted through the old shi...,
uh, effluence, since the old privies accepted more than urine and feces.
