Lesson here for the politicians.

This mayor who was fired by the voters had aspirations for higher office and was using his pandering to the illegal aliens as the guaranteed way to the top.

He had the backing of unions, business leaders, Latino organizations, and all the local newspapers, from the Washington Post down to the little town weeklies.

He also had the endorsements of the ruling politicians in both parties who were similarly pandering to this presumedly huge voting block (Herndon was 26% Hispanic). The only thing he missed was the wishes of a big majority of the people, who threw him and his Council buddies out on their butts.

Let those Republican Senators in Washington take note - you could be next if you continue to ignore the will of the people. If you don't turn around, we can dump you - SI, SE PUEDE!!!!
