Think of all the incidents that never get into a police log.

The seven deadly virtues those gastly little traps. Oh no, my liege they were not meant for me. The seven deadly virtues were meant for other chaps. Who love a life of failure and unwee. From Camelot...

In his statement, Kennedy said he was apparently disoriented from the drugs when he got up a little before 3 a.m. Thursday and drove to the Capitol thinking he needed to be present for a vote I guess Patches thinks doing drugs and driving sounds better then drinking and driving

I'm mystified why he thinks being hopped up on prescription drugs sounds better. It's the sort of weird detail that further convinces me he was drunk.

"I never asked for any preferential treatment." The old "Do you know who I am?" defense. I never asked for what I obviously deserve.
Jokes aside, he needs to recognize that he needs help, and he should consider checking into a clinic.

Whether its booze or meds. DUI simply means driving under the influence of a foreign substance. It can be cough medicine and the person is still supposed to be arrested or fined.

The best thing for Republicans to do would be to TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD.
Point out to voters that their rep took sleeping pills, then got into a car to drive.
Point out to voters that their rep took sleeping pills, then went to vote on their behalf.

If you are under the influence, you are under the influence. Prescriptions are as dangerous as (and in most cases much more so than) alcohol anyway.
This case better not fade into the shadows. And hopefully "dear old dad" makes some real inopportune comments as well. Get the popcorn !!!!

Just like his Dad ample opportunity to clear his system of alcohol and get a story put together, being a Democrat has its'
perks.

Nobody in the drive by media seems to notice that he was involved an ANOTHER wreck (a two-car collision - he turned across traffic) a short time ago, and it was obvious from his handwriting on the police report that he was either drunk or temporarily illiterate . . .
Haven't heard a peep about that one in the press.

No mention of the waitress who claims Patches was in the Hawk & Dove earlier that evening. A golden opportunity for a bartender to claim it was strictly club sodas with lime.
