That's what I've thought all along. Either he was a complete dufus or they were planning a book deal for the past couple years. Or both. And as you said, who the heck cared. It wasn't as if she didn't drive to work and home every day in plain view.

You can thank Clinton for politicizing the CIA and rendering it useless. Te place is crawling with RATS, and they all need to be "outed" so that it's proper function can be restored. The last time the CIA was able to do an even half-@ssed job was when they had Osama cornered and he and key Islamic fundamentalists ready for removal, which Clinton refused to act on, which among other things, caused the deaths of over 3,000 Americans. Instead, Clinton declined advice from the CIA, and also declined advice from the CIA concerning Bosnia, choosing for intrests of his own, to support the wishes of Islamic fundamentists in the region, and almost triggering a war with Russia.

I have said all along Wilson is the leaker who revealed Plame's employer. He is sufficiently psychopathic to accuse the White House of doing it....and it then got legs of its own. And of course President Bush walked right into the Wilson trap....

Just a question. If Joe Wilson outed his own wife. And she just signed a two million dollar book deal. And she says that it was not Joe and it becomes evidence it was. Can she be sued for fraud?

The fact that Wilson had her named on his personal web site long before this even became a "story" can be considered "outing" as well. The obvious fact is that she was not covert, and therefore there was nothing to "out" in the first place. It's still media and partisan players who keep making this an issue when it's not. I want to see media itself get hung for abusing the "freedom of the press" rights everyone -both on the right and left- keeps crying every time someone mentions accountability, and laws to define it.

Freedom of the press should only apply to non- partisan honest reporting of FACTS, not to political conspiracies to bring down a government, especially during a time of war, and to influence the public- we the people- and our ability and absolute right to choose our government which is based on accurate and honest media reporting.

It should be a automatic hanging offense to corrupt and pervert our electoral process- to influence the public via media aided conspiracies in order to install a government which any sane person- knowing the truth- would rather see behind bars.

Dufus, no. Egotistical, yes. Editor compliant, yes. Who would have bought their books, or gone to see their movies otherwise? I really think they could have gotten more than the 2+ million for the book though. Just comparing to other more boring books in the recent past.

Actually, the Micheal Moore's of the world play the left like a fiddle. All they have to do is come up with a shiney anti Republican gimmick that catches the eye of those Moon-bats, and they will spare no haste to rush out and buy it.
It made The fat slob a very wealthy man, yet moon-bats are too stupid to see how Moore is a perfect example of the capitalist they love to hate.
You don't see The fat slob sharing his newfound wealth with the poor unwashed Liberal left either, he's perfectly happy enjoying all the fine things that money can buy.

First, it's kind of hard to hide your spouse. I mean, the person lives in the same house, etc.

Second, it's kind of hard to hide the name of your spouse, especially if you have kids, go to parties in the neighborhood, etc.

Now, if Wilson had said, "my wife, Valerie Plame, is undercover CIA," I'd say the writer had a point.
